Label Materials For Small Diameter Applications

There is no wider area for different types of packaging than the pharmaceutical and medical industries. One look in any pharmacy reveals all types of differently packaged products. Medicines prescribed by a doctor might, for example, be packaged in classic style amber glass bottles with a matt or gloss paper label simply containing data about the medicines. Over the counter (OTC) products are packed in a white polyethylene (PE) container decorated with a multicolour printed high-gloss label. In such cases, suitable labelling materials may be found relatively easily.

However, pharmaceutical labelling applications often involve small diameters. With medical ingredients found in increasingly concentrated dosages, there is a trend towards smaller diameter packaging. And when a squeezable low-density polyethylene (LDPE) nose or eye drop container needs to be labelled, things start to look rather different.

PROTEIN:PROTEIN INTERACTION ANALYSIS

IBA GmbH

Groth et al., 2007 and Jasencakova et al., 2010 Protein:protein-interactions (PPI) govern almost all important processes in living organisms. Thus, their rapid and accurate determination and investigation is a major challenge in life sciences. The extremely efficient and fast One-STrEP (Twin-Strep) system is suitable for the isolation of functional protein complexes and subsequent mass spectrometry analysis leads to the identification of protein complex components (Junttila et al., 2005) as it is shown in the following studies.
