Dehumidification and Purification Using Absorption Air Conditioning

Absorption air conditioning offers cheaper dehumidification. The system is invaluable in processes in which air temperature, humidity and decontamination are important. In addition to dehumidifying the air, the system removes gasses and solid particles from the air. Virtually all germs and microorganisms that are present in the intake air are killed by the system. Finally, absorption air conditioning also offers a long-lasting solution with low energy costs.

There are many different air conditioning systems on the market. The best known is condensation dehumidification. This method first cools the air down to the temperature at which vapour present in the air starts to condense (100 per cent relative humidity). Subsequently, the air is heated again to the desired temperature. Thus, this process involves two stages. In this system, the dew-point temperature at which moisture starts to condense is determined by the temperature of the cooling fluid. This requires rather a lot of energy.
