Bassilichi

Bassilichi

Bassilichi S.p.A. is a leading organization in the Italian market for outsourced technology services targeted to large users, in particular the bank sector. Bassilichi S.p.A. has its offices in Florence and in Sienna, with branches in Milan and Rome.

With 50 years of expertise in the IT market, the company is specialising in the supply of solutions and services for the fields of Monetics, Facility Management and Back-office, providing solutions and services to cover the entire value chain.

On top of these areas of core business, Bassilichi also provides long expertise in the development of IT solutions and systems for process optimisation both in Italy and all over Europe.

Bassilichi's mission is to identify the customer's needs and provide tailor-made solutions with a global approach: starting from a feasibility study, Bassilichi's skilled professionals draw up and implement a work plan, and provide granular, ongoing service support to their customers.
Bassilichi boasts a wide expertise in developing and managing complex projects aimed at optimising processes, increasing efficiency and achieving business goals. The ability to quickly meet customers needs – through flexible and advanced technology options, along with a comprehensive and integrated approach – makes Bassilichi the right partner for the outsourcing of IT infrastructures.

Bassilichi is known for its offer of “full” global solutions, purposely developed to meet all customer’s needs: rental, installation, hardware and software maintenance, help desk, monitoring and tele-assistance.

Bassilichi is also a multivendor organisation thanks to commercial partnership agreements with the main software and hardware vendors, both domestically and internationally.

From a geographical viewpoint, Bassilichi is aimed at expanding its presence from local to national, and widely to Europe as far as certain aspects of the offer are concerned. This has been matched with a continuous growth of the company’s logistic and organisational structure, which has evolved to meet the demand of an increasingly larger market in a timely manner.

Bassilichi ensures very high service levels by deploying a shared infrastructure for all equipment, with relevant IT and help desk facilities, and constantly investing in technology and human resource training.

In Italy the company has a turnover of ˆ130 million (consolidated turnover for 2006) and a staff of 470 employees.

With specific reference to the Pharmaceutical market, Bassilichi carried out for the European Commission the  EudraVigilance project, the EU system installed at the European Medicine Agency in London for managing ICSR (Individual Case Safety Reports) and SUSAR (Suspect Unexpected Serious Adverse Reaction) - reports on adverse reactions to Medicinal Products authorized in the European Economic Area (EEA).

As result of the experience acquired in the EudraVigilance project implementation Bassilichi  developed Ares (Adverse Reactions Reporting System). A web-based application useful to the compilation of Safety Reports in XML format as defined by the standard ICH (International Conference on Harmonization) and by the EudraVigilance system.

Ares is dedicated to the Pharmaceutical companies for collecting, exchanging and consulting reports on adverse reactions. It implements the rules for exchanging information among National Authorities based on EU Directives 2000/38/EC , 2001/20/EC and Regulation EC 726/2004 and it is adherent to the 21 CFR Part 11.

A Pharmaceutical company, for a correct and validated compilation of a XML file containing one or more ICSR/SUSAR, should use a dedicated tool that provides all the necessary functionalities for the e-submission or report directly by the EudraVigilance application.

The software tool, based on a web architecture that it makes it scalable from a standalone workstation to Internet accessible Personal computers permits to all the company Pharmacovigilance stakeholders a similar access to the e-reporting application. This modular structure allows easy adjustments to future international standards and to specific company user requirements.
