BioSilta |
 |
|
| BioSilta was founded in 2007 as a spin-out from the University of Oulu and has offices in Oulu, Finland, and Berlin, Germany. BioSilta develops, produces and markets the novel EnBaseŽ technology as a novel advanced tool for microbial cell cultivation, protein production, enzyme screening, plasmid preparation and food spoilage testing. The patented EnBase technology resembles the fed-batch process and provides a cultivation environment with glucose-control, pH maintenance and inhibition of growth-limiting metabolites without the need for traditional mechanical pumps. This powerful tool can be used with E. coli and other bacteria, yeast and development of a mammalian product is already underway. EnBase is provided in ready-to-use liquid or tablet products and can be used from small-scale cultures, such as microwell plates to shake flasks to small-scale bioreactors.
