The ASPIRE international conference is taking place on the 28th February and 1st March 2018 at the Vox Conference Centre in Birmingham. The conference brings together members of the research community including research professionals from the NHS, Clinical Trial Networks and international organisations. The ASPIRE conference will allow delegates to share knowledge and best practise with the focus on enhancing the efficiency and productivity of clinical research across the UK and beyond.

Delegates will gain access to a mix of breakout sessions and workshop sessions as well as hear from various inspirational keynote speakers from across the research field.

The ASPIRE conference is being hosted at a bigger and better conference facility where delegates have further opportunities available to develop their skills and truly be inspired to aim higher and achieve more within their research role.

Bringing a new drug to market can be a heavy financial burden on any pharmaceutical company. It has become even more burdensome over the last several years as the industry pushes the boundaries of innovation. This is because newer, often more-complex therapies not only increase risk in drug development but also drive costs even higher. A recent analysis of the investment needed to develop a new prescription medicine shows the total cost can be as high as $2.6 billion (1). That number becomes even more staggering when you consider the fact that only about 12 percent of drug candidates that make it to Phase I testing are eventually approved by the FDA (2). AirBridgeCargo expands its passive pharma solutions in partnership with SkyCell as it achieves the two-fold volume increase AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC), one of the leaders in transportation of pharmaceutical products by air, and Zurich-based cold-chain ULD manufacturer SkyCell have sealed their partnership for the lease of all types of SkyCell containers to meet the demand for evolving volumes of passive pharmaceutical shipments, which reached around 3,500 tonnes for 1Q 2019 YOY and demonstrated a two-fold increase.
