Automatic Pilot

The life sciences industry faces many challenges: the need for efficient manufacturing processes, streamlined operations with fewer deviations, improved consistency and compliance with GMP regulations. They want to increase deployment of sound risk management methodologies.

Walfried Laibacher is Validation Service Leader at Honeywell Building Solutions, Germany. He has a diploma in applied sciences for electrical engineering. Based in Germany, he oversees Honeywell’s specialist validation sales and engineering teams. This includes on-site project support, recently as the validation consultant in a multi-million Euro project for a major European biotech company. Since joining Honeywell in 1988, Walfried has held several positions in software development from Software Engineer to Project Leader for HVAC and Building Management Solutions in an SEI CMM Level 3 certified organisation. A respected author of thought-leadership articles, Walfried emphasises the business benefits of new-generation validation solutions and integrated building and automation systems.
