Nova Biomedical FLEX®2

Nova Biomedical is a technology company based in Waltham, Massachusetts, that provides state-of-the-art automated cell culture analysers for the biopharmaceutical market. In 1998, Nova introduced the first line of chemistry analysers for the biotechnology industry – the BioProfile® series. Nearly a decade later, Nova added the BioProfile Flex series featuring an expanded menu and real-time analysis of key metabolites, nutrients, and gases in cell culture media. In 2016, we announced the BioProfile FLEX2 analyser, which incorporates Nova’s maintenance-free MicroSensor™ Card technology that eliminates sensor maintenance and maximises workflow efficiency.

BioProfile analysers optimise and enhance process development, reliability, and reproducibility; improve manufacturing yield and quality; and reduce testing time and cost. In fact, BioProfile analysers can replace up to seven different instruments and measurement techniques while dramatically decreasing space requirements and capital equipment, labour, and reagent costs.

An optional On-Line Autosampler (OLS) allows users to connect multiple spinner flasks, bioreactors, and other vessels directly to the analyser and to establish user-defined sampling frequencies and feedback instructions for each reactor vessel. All results are stored in a data management system for subsequent retrieval or transmission to a data historian.
