| Government has long recognised the expertise of UK researchers in generating novel diagnostic technologies but also acknowledges the great weakness in terms of support in order to transform these technologies into new products. It is seeking to remedy this position via organisations such as DiagnOx which support all stages of technology transfer from proof-of-principle through to development and growth of new companies. By drawing together the diagnostics community (researchers, small and large companies, investors and specialist service providers), through web-based membership services, the UK diagnostics sector, as a whole, can benefit from the interactions and business development that are generated. |
