| Clinical trials are expensive to initiate, perform and analyse so it is hardly surprising that the methods which promise to increase the value or reduce the cost of a trial are becoming increasingly popular. Over the last few years there has been a considerable increase in the number of trials including a genetic component, and this trend is predicted to continue. The main benefit of including genetic analysis during clinical development is that it gives a more informative view of the individual patients or volunteers who make up the clinical trial population. |
