The Patient is the Key

The Parenteral Drug Association’s (PDA’s) conference theme this year will be ‘Improving Patient Outcomes with Innovative Drug Delivery’. With more biologics developed to treat chronic diseases, this title reflects the everincreasing commitment to enhancing the self-injecting experience and improving patient outcomes.

This event aspires to educate attendees on global trends, providing a future outlook on all aspects surrounding pre-filled syringes and injection devices. It will highlight links in the manufacturing chain – from materials and component industries to clinical and patient needs. One focus will be on the overall biotechology sector, while also looking closely at largevolume applications, formulations and biosimilars and advanced therapeutic products.

Three parallel tracks will discuss new uses, challenges and opportunities of patient-to-smart device interactions as they become more significant and sophisticated, thus having an immediate positive effect on patient adherence and therapy outcomes. Questions such as: ‘How can learnings and findings from clinical trials and usability work be incorporated into more patient-friendly delivery systems?’ will be posed and debated.
