Optimising Outsourcing

Over the last decade, the European pharmaceutical market has experienced a healthy growth rate and developed a steady track record in terms of regulatory progress, with the industry now holding the title of the fifth largest in the continent (1).

The market’s trade surplus, investment into R&D, and highly skilled workforce makes it a competitive market for pharma development and manufacturing services. While the majority of pharma outsourcing takes place in Western Europe, Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries are becoming increasingly popular alternatives.

The CEE market combines a cost-effective service with a progressive approach to R&D activity, all carried out within the EU regulatory environment, meaning companies outsourcing to partners in the region can be confident in the quality of the products manufactured.
