How Have Pharma Supply Chains Coped During the Pandemic?

The health crisis created by COVID-19 has shaken the pharmaceutical industry and the whole world. This is forcing many companies to rethink their supply chains in order to reduce their dependence on suppliers of raw materials and finished products from distant countries. Companies are instead opting for manufacturers that are typically closer and can guarantee supply in critical conditions.

Manuel Leal Sánchez is the Business Development Director at Idifarma. With over 15 years’ experience in business development and management, he is responsible for generating new business for the Spanish CDMO and exploring international markets as part of the company’s ongoing growth strategy.

Tony O’Sullivan is the Chief Commercial Officer for ChargePoint Technology. He has a wide range of responsibilities including overseeing direct and indirect sales channels, marketing, the technical product team, commercial activities, order delivery, project management, and aftercare service support. As a member of the board, he also plays a key role in the planning and implementation of ChargePoint’s business plan to achieve strategic growth. For such a diverse role, his area of expertise in commercial and sales and marketing plus project management gives him the ability to see ChargePoint’s mission and vision like no other.

Sascha Sonnenberg joined Sharp Clinical in September 2019 as Global Head of Business Development supporting Sharp's strategy for growth in the clinical trial market. Before joining Sharp, he held management positions at Marken and Faubel Pharma Services overseeing global operations and business development activities. He is an active member of the ISPE Community of Practice on Investigational Products where he is a co-author of the Good Practice Guide for Booklet Labels in Clinical Trials and currently leads a task team developing a Good Practice Guide on patient centric logistics/direct to patient services.
