The Financial and Operational Benefits of e-Learning in Regulatory Compliance

We believe that e-learning will increasingly be employed by pharmaceutical organisations to achieve and maintain compliance training as mandated by the regulatory authorities. e-Learning not only enhances compliance initiatives but also delivers the benefits of improved operational efficiency and higher profitability. Given the global nature of today's pharmaceutical operations, as well as an increased regulatory burden, e-learning has found a niche in the pharmaceutical manufacturing process, and ties in well with new FDA technology initiatives.

It has been well documented that e-learning cuts down the learning curve and delivers significant cost savings associated with traditional instructor led training (ILT). Furthermore, its interactive nature improves employee (student) material retention rates, and offers companies with customised solutions to their training needs. Since e-learning and computer-based training (CBT) integrates and complements traditional classroom-based training programmes, companies could achieve higher employee productivity by adopting a blended approach to learning.
