Interphex 2002 Preview - Interphex Re-Profiles to Reflect the Changing Pharmaceutical Environment

As the pharmaceutical production chain becomes increasingly sophisticated, so industry professionals require a wider perspective of the factors influencing their day-to-day business.

The repercussions of events such as the rise of biotechnology and the advent of pharmacogenomics ripple beyond the research phase and can impact on downstream activities such as production techniques and delivery systems. As such there is a requirement to have an understanding of the interconnection between drug development and the manufacturing processes, dosage forms and packaging formats.

To this end, Interphex - the UK's only dedicated exhibition for pharmaceutical manufacturing - has been re-profiled as the 'total pharmaceutical event' with the addition of a biotechnology zone and a drug delivery zone.

Interphex, which is supported by the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE) is now said to cater for researchers through to pack technologists and a wide spectrum of specialist companies and institutions will be showing the latest equipment and manufacturing techniques for the pharmaceutical environment.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to catch up on the latest industry trends and technologies through the new, non-commercial seminar programme which runs alongside the event. The programme reflects the new profile of the show and is free to registered visitors.
