Pharmaceutical Containers Inspection - Quality Insurance for the Manufacturer

For the glass manufacturer, it is a real challenge when encountering the requests of the pharmaceutical customer to face the issues of high quality glass producing. They need to increase their production quality level and to carefully analyse every production issue; they need to work with a high performance quality assurance team; and use high performance inspection systems.
Japan Quality Essential for Vials

'Japan quality' for pharmaceutical and perfume glass packaging has become a recognised standard that challenges manufacturers to meet exceptionally high levels of quality in container production. The pharmaceutical industry sets tough specifications for narrow dimensional characteristics, cosmetic refinement and functionality, without any contamination risk to the contents. All aspects of production need to be carefully monitored using high performance inspection systems.

Japan quality is not a customer whim. Pharmaceutical companies require essential physical constraints, cosmetic appearances, safety and hygiene levels in vials, syringes, ampoules and all other glass packaging for medical products. In order to prevent air leaking into a vial or syringe (which would contaminate the contents) cracks and breakage must be avoided. Flaws such as traces of oil, airlines, bubbles, stones or other spots can also contaminate the contents of a vial and pieces of glass inside the vial can be dangerous.
