| Identifying effective and innovative delivery systems and components for injectable drugs - whether a serum, a lyophilised drug or a dry powder - is a challenge for pharmaceutical manufacturers. Although more prevalent in developing countries where regulatory powers are limited, no country is immune to the threat of drug counterfeiting. Not only do counterfeit drugs inhibit a patient's recovery, in some instances counterfeit drugs have been fatal. |
