WiP or CiP? Clean or pure? Only the user can decide which system best suits their needs. A comparison of the two cleaning philosophies reveals that it is possible to exploit the advantages of the WiP method without sacrificing either cleanliness or safety.
In principle, however, washing the compression compartment of tablet presses represents a significant increase in the level of automation when changing products. This is particularly true where hazardous or extremely dusty granulates are being pressed. Difficulties created in the working area are significantly reduced, and the materials handling process is greatly simplified.
