An Introduction to Transdermal Drug Delivery Systems

This is a two-part article dealing with the basic structure and production of transdermal drug delivery systems (TDDS). resulting in fewer side effects.

In the first part of this article, the structures and components of the most common TDDS will be presented. In the second part, the manufacturing process will be discussed, along with the problems and remedies of the most popular type of TDDS - the matrix TDDS, or matrix patches.
