GEMÜ has developed the new GEMÜ 565 pneumatic control valve for low flowrates in dosing applications.
Standard versions are available in DN 3 - 15 with Kv values from 63 - 3,300 l/h. The control characteristics are linear or equal-percentage depending on the regulating cone. Subsequent replacement of the regulating cone is possible at any time.
A particular advantage is the hermetic separation between actuator and working medium by a sealing diaphragm which is available in EPDM or FPM and can easily be replaced. The valve body can be chosen as either PVDF, PVC-U or stainless steel 1.4435 making the valve suitable for use in the pharmaceutical industry as well as in chemical, electroplating, water treatment and other demanding industrial chemical applications. The maximum operating temperature is 60-80°C dependent on the valve body and has a permissible maximum operating pressure between 0-6 bar dependent on version and operating temperature.
The valve can be paired with all electro-pneumatic GEMÜ valve positioners. Using the GEMÜ 1434 positioner a very compact and low cost version can be provided. The GEMÜ 1435 and 1436 positioners are adapted via a travel sensor. When combined with the 1436 process controller, a PID control system can be implemented. This new valve has a considerably shorter response and control time compared to earlier motorised valves.
