RWS expands global offering with RWS Life Sciences.

RWS Life Sciences

The acquisition of LUZ, Inc. and Corporate Translations, Inc. strengthens RWS’ market leadership and continued growth of life science language services.

Hartford, Connecticut—On October 1, 2017 RWS, the world's leading provider of translation, intellectual property, life sciences and language support services, announced a re-launch of its brand, website and divisional structure following a number of successful acquisitions which have significantly extended the group’s capabilities and geographical reach.

A critical milestone of the divisional restructuring effort is the consolidation of LUZ, Inc. (“LUZ”) and Corporate Translations, Inc. (“CTi”) to form RWS Life Sciences, one of the four divisions of RWS.

With RWS’ acquisition of LUZ earlier this year and CTi in 2015, RWS builds on two trusted brands dedicated exclusively to the language service needs of the life sciences industry. The rebranding enables better alignment and positioning of core competencies while providing a solid foundation for further expansion of the division’s specialized service portfolio.

Sheena Dempsey, Managing Director of RWS Life Sciences, commented:

“By building on over 25 years of experience and knowledge of regulated markets, RWS Life Sciences is proud to be recognized as one of the premier and largest life science translation providers in the language industry today. This consolidation also establishes a clear brand identity for current and prospective clients.”

Bringing together the world’s best language services leaders in the life sciences industry gives RWS Life Sciences a unique opportunity to enhance its support of growing and evolving market segments, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and clinical research organizations.

RWS Life Sciences now delivers deeper and more diverse lines of service across an expanded global footprint. The organization’s on-going strategic commitment to innovation and technology-driven global service will continue to drive scalable and flexible language solutions to a differentiated life sciences client base. This includes an increasing portfolio of enterprise level clients, all of which require a transparent service experience that enables real-time business intelligence and decision making.
