“PACK DIFFERENT” with EMBALLAGE 2008

October 2007

“Business, Innovation, Outlook” are the watchwords for the 38th World Packaging Exhibition which opens in Paris from 17 to 21 November 2008. Fifteen months before the key packaging event of the end of 2008, EMBALLAGE displays its differences to offer you a new edition that is even more representative, international and rich in new features.

The Pack.Vision symposium: at the heart of the issues of the packaging sector

Pack.Vision, the 1st International Symposium of Packaging Design brings together the principal players generating innovation in packaging: packaging manufacturers, brands, design agencies and international consultancies will be offering their know-how for a rich programme of 24 conferences during the 5 days of the trade show.

Another major new feature is that the Pack.Vision Symposium will be held henceforth in the centre of Hall 6, dedicated to packaging and containers, and will receive for the first time the principal trade unions and organisations of the sector.

Moreover, admission to the Symposium will be free for all the visitors to EMBALLAGE who will be able to obtain information, discuss or simply discover the latest developments in the packaging world in all its marketing, technical and economic aspects and outlook.

> Preliminary programme available in early 2008

Trends Area: showcasing innovation

Among all the reasons that justify a visit to the exhibition, the discovery of new products is listed first by visitors. With the Trends Area, EMBALLAGE gives a prominent place to innovation. Located near the entrance to Hall 6, the Trends Area showcases the most remarkable and representative new products (containers, machines, software, accessories) among the nearly new 500 products announced by exhibitors at each exhibition.

This concentration of innovation in the Trends Area will be a magnet for all visitors seeking an overview of the current and future packaging scene.

The Packaging Observatory: a unique barometer of the market

On the initiative of the exhibition, the Packaging Observatory was inaugurated in December 2005 with the ambition of providing a tool for recurrent strategic and economic monitoring of the different sectors in France and their prospects.

Thanks to the involvement and support of the principal trade unions and professional organisations, EMBALLAGE will reveal in November 2007 the results of its second survey on the principal challenges facing the sector up to 2010.

An overview provided by manufacturers, machine manufacturers and users with a rich hoard of information…

Gold Meetings: customized business meetings for major buyers

Gold Meetings is a new and ultra-targeted business appointment service designed to bring together buyers and sellers at the exhibition. This customized service enables French and international visitors with concrete projects to meet clearly identified exhibitors… and allows exhibitors to benefit from extra business opportunities in return.

All these activities and new services offered with each new edition help to make EMBALLAGE a different and unique exhibition. These special features have meaning and legitimacy because the exhibition is also and above all a place of business where the representativeness of suppliers has never failed to be complete.

To prove this, 15 months before it opens, nearly 60% of the exhibition area of EMBALLAGE 2008 has already been reserved.

A very good sign that the 2008 vintage will be good!!
