Biomedical Systems Names New Managing Director For European Headquarters |
|
 |
"We are excited to be able to bring in someone of Geert's caliber to succeed Rita in the
Brussels operation," said Timothy R. Barrett, CEO of Biomedical Systems. "When we began
the search we knew that it would be difficult to find an individual that would be able to fill Rita's
shoes. Geert's knowledge and leadership skills blend extremely well with the corporate culture
that Rita established in Brussels. The transition from Rita to Geert has been seamless." Dr.
Dewulf will officially take over the Managing Director role on 31 March 2008.
Dr. Dewulf started his career with Siemens AG, a global provider of products and services in
electronics and electrical engineering, operating in the industry, energy and healthcare sectors.

transitioned to SONY Europe as Director of Healthcare Business and later as General
Manager of Business to Business where he directed sales, marketing and services through
direct sales and a distribution network.
Dr. Dewulf holds a degree of Doctor in Medicine, Surgery and Obstetrics from Katholieke
Universiteit Leuven-Belgium Medical School. Additionally, Geert holds a Masters in Biomedical
Techniques and a Post-graduate in Business Administration from Katholieke Universiteit
