New board advisors join OVID Health to support global growth strategy

20 November 2023 – OVID Health (“OVID”), a leading independent health communications agency, has appointed 90TEN’s former Managing Directors as board advisors.

Peter Impey and Alison Doughty will work with the agency’s senior leadership team as it executes a global growth strategy. They will provide strategic support to increase OVID’s reach and visibility to global audiences; as well as helping to strengthen its operations and proposition to the market.

OVID was founded in 2018 by former political adviser and agency leader Jenny Ousbey. The agency’s ‘patient first’ approach means it works with clients such as Roche, GSK, Novo Nordisk, Chiesi and Tillotts Pharma. Its services encompass PR, public affairs and patient advocacy and it also runs the pioneering global initiative, the Patient Partnership Index.

Alison Doughty said: “OVID does exciting and purposeful work in a way that I believe is unique within this industry. They have the expertise and passion for improving the lives of patients and I know healthcare organisations across the globe will greatly benefit from their intelligent approaches.”

Peter Impey

As Managing Director and then Global Head of 90TEN Communications, he was instrumental in building the agency’s global communications business and leading it through a record-breaking period of growth. He has featured in PR Week’s Power Book of leaders and was at the helm of 90TEN’s Communications division as it won multiple UK and international accolades including Agency of the Year from the PR Week Awards, Communique Awards and Sabre Awards.

Alison Doughty

As a seasoned agency business leader with strong scientific roots, Alison has spent over 20 years at the helm of healthcare PR and medical education agencies. She founded the specialist healthcare agency Inspired Science, within the Omnicom network, before heading up the multi-award-winning behaviour change consultancy 90TEN. Driven by knowledge, enthusiasm and a passion for organisational health, Alison now helps marcomms consultancies maximise their business growth.

Jenny Ousbey

Jenny is a recognised leader in healthcare communications and patient advocacy. 

She began her career as a journalist and has created numerous high-profile campaigns in-house and agency-side for some of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies. Prior to launching OVID Health, she was political adviser to a UK government health minister. Jenny is also the founder of the Patient Partnership Index – an initiative which has led to a step-change in how patient programmes between third sector organisations and pharmaceutical companies deliver impact across the globe.
