Temptime Corporation

Temptime is deeply committed to improving global public health. Founded in 1987, our scientists developed the first miniaturized technology to monitor temperature exposure of oral polio vaccine vials. This device, recognized globally as the HEATmarker VVM (vaccine vial monitor), continues to be the only technology that meets strict specifications of the world’s leading health organizations (including WHO) for distributing vaccines to developing countries. Almost 7 billion of our HEATmarker VVMs have been used on life-saving vaccines in 150 countries.

Today, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, specialty pharmacies, and hospitals are using our chemical and electronic devices to improve storage and handling of medical products that improve and save lives.

Indicators for Temperature-Sensitive Pharmaceuticals

A wide range of patented time-temperature indicators are available for temperature-sensitive vaccines, pharmaceuticals, biologics, blood products, and medical devices.

Temptime’s range of products monitor cumulative heat exposure (HEATmarker), threshold heat events (LIMITmarker and Safe-T-Vue), freeze events (FREEZEmarker) or a combination of heat and freeze events during shipment (TransTracker). We help clients select and customize indicator products that fit the medical product’s stability profile and shipping needs.

In addition, Temptime can develop customer-specific logistical implementation plans.

Temptime holds two US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) medical device clearances. Our quality management system is based on the FDA’s quality system regulation to meet good manufacturing practices (GMP), as well as ISO: 9001 and ISO: 13485 standards. The company is audited by the FDA, global vaccine manufacturers and by some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical and medical device companies.

Market Leadership and Innovation

When TransTracker®was introduced into the specialty pharmacy market, it defined how a reliable, low cost, temperature monitoring device could improve patient satisfaction and enhance temperature assurance of critical specialty medications during shipment. Today, seven of the 10 largest specialty pharmacies use a Temptime device in shipments to their patients. Our newly launched EDGE™ wireless temperature monitoring sensors are used in shipments and to monitor warehouses, refrigerators, or freezers.

TransTracker Heat and Freeze Indicators for Shipments

TransTracker single-use, irreversible visual indicators monitor the temperature inside parcels of temperature-sensitive medicine during shipping, in a cost effective and reliable way. They are available for both heat and low temperature indication, and can be combined on a single TransTracker card to bracket upper and lower limit temperature excursions.
