We are pleased to announce that Datwyler has become a strategic partner for the supply of the rubber plungers for the Retrago syringes. This is the result of intensive team work to develop the customized design of four different plungers, provide samples for trials and prepare commercial production within shortest time lines possible.

Retrago is an innovative reinvention of the syringe, implementing safety mechanisms promoting infection prevention and control. After a single injection, the Retrago syringe automatically retracts the exposed needle and prevents the re-use of the syringe.

RETRAGO syringes RETRAGO works like a normal syringe. After use, the needle retracts automatically.

Retrago is the first automatically retractable syringe that features Auto Disable (AD), Re-Use Prevention (RUP), and Sharp Injury Protection (SIP) safety mechanisms in one device.

The combination of these safety features not only protects patients, but also healthcare workers, waste management workers and the community from the risk of accidental needle stick injuries (NSI) and syringe re-use, potentially saving millions of lives.

Thanks to their unique design with a hole in the center, Datwylerës rubber plungers make an important contribution to ensuring that safety mechanisms function perfectly at all times. The Retrago technology is protected by a number of patents owned by Italian company P&P Patents and Technologies, which is focused on developing safety engineered medical devices.
