Trinean to introduce the new DropSense96 at ASHG 2016 & PEGS Europe 2016

Gentbrugge, Belgium – October 10, 2016 – Trinean, the leading provider of microfluidic spectrophotometry platforms, today announces the launch of the new DropSense96. Built upon the highly successful DropSense96 platform, the improved features of the new DropSense96 make it superior to any other droplet UV/VIS reader currently on the market.

As a key asset of the platform, the new DropSense96 is still the only UV/VIS reader with full flexibility to analyze 1 to 96 samples in a single experiment, thereby remaining the best fit with the varying project sizes in todayís genetic and protein research labs. Moreover, the new DropSense96 offers a significant increase of the sensitivity, allowing quantification of an even broader range of native samples with an unmatched reliability.

With input from its growing user community, Trinean empowered the software tools for the new DropSense96, making them more convenient and straightforward without loss of capabilities. The cDrop software now includes broad-use -extraction kit independent- applications to detect contaminants in any DNA, RNA or protein sample and cDrop corrects their concentration determination accordingly. In addition, data generated by the smaller DropSense16 platform can now be read in that same cDrop software for further analysis and more detailed QC. The novel cDrop software enhances the user experience and allows an even better assessment of sample quality and fitness for further downstream analysis.

For automated environments, the novel DropSense96 integrates into any liquid handler through its standard Application Programming Interface or via the novel SiLA compliant drivers. This makes hands-free sample quantification, purity QC and sample normalization even easier than before.

The new DropSense96 will be showcased at ASHG 2016 (18 – 22 Oct) in Vancouver and PEGS Europe 2016 (31 Oct – 4 Nov) in Lisbon.
