va-Q-tec presents the 100th va-Q-tainer TWINx and a bigger production site at the LogiPharma conference

Wuerzburg, 14th April 2016: va-Q-tec, one of the leading providers of high efficiency products and solutions in the field of thermal isolation will be participating in the upcoming LogiPharma in Montreux, one of the biggest supply chain events worldwide for pharmaceutical experts. From April 19 through 21, the company will be presenting the 100th container of its newest and largest product class va-Q-tainer TWINx. In 2015, the product va-Q-tainer TWINx was first introduced into the market as part of the container rental service ëLOAD & GOí where the containers are preconditioned to a desired temperature and transported to a predetermined point of delivery. va-Q-tecís fleet of rental containers operates within a global partner network consisting of airlines, freight forwarders and service providers. To this day, over 1 million shipments were carried out without temperature deviations using va-Q-tainers and boxes.

va-Q-tec has been supplying thermal packaging to pharmaceutical, biotech and logistics companies worldwide for over 10 years. The containers use the optimal combination of in-house developed vacuum insulation panels (VIPs) and phase changing materials (PCMs). va-Q-tecís highest priority is to safeguard their customersí products while minimizing costs in the supply chain.
The new va-Q-tainer TWINx is a high performance passive container, perfect for temperature-controlled transportation worldwide. The va-Q-tainer TWINx is designed for transporting two US pallets, two EURO pallets or bulk loading. The container is extraordinarily suitable for the deviation-free transport of temperature sensitive pharmaceutical and biotechnological goods on the most arduous trade-lanes. The va-Q-tainer TWINx is designed for more than 120 hours performance in summer (constant +30∞C) and winter (constant 0∞C) ambient for +2∞C to +8∞C shipments. Additional temperature ranges from -70∞C to +25∞C provide customers with the solutions they need. All va-Q-tainer TWINx performance details are based on a worst-case configuration with no load in the container.
Only recently in September 2015, va-Q-tec AG has increased its production capacity by adding a new warehouse for the production of thermal high-performance containers which they inaugurated at their headquarters in Wuerzburg, Germany. Thanks to the newly acquired surface area of more than 1,000 square meters, va-Q-tec is now able to effortlessly satisfy the increased demand for containers.
