West to Feature Innovations in Injectable Drug Packaging and Delivery during CPhI InnoPack Worldwide 2016

From 4-6 October in Barcelona, Spain, West will also showcase high-quality packaging components and drug delivery solutions at booth #2M22.

- 1-3mL NovaPure plungers – High-quality components for higher-volume pre-filled delivery systems, designed using Quality by Design (QbD) principles to reduce particulate and ensure consistency of delivery
- SmartDose technology platform – Recently, Amgen announced FDA approval for a single, monthly 420 mg dose delivery option for Repatha (evolocumab), utilizing the SmartDose technology. This is the first combination product that incorporates SmartDose technology for use in the United States
- Daikyo Crystal Zenith vials and 1mL long insert needle syringes – Technologically advanced containment systems manufactured from a cyclic olefin polymer that offer a break-resistant, high-performance alternative to glass for complex drugs
- Daikyo RUV components – Ready-to-use, validated components manufactured using clean, high-quality elastomer formulations and then washed, camera-inspected and sterilized to help minimize risks around component preparation and eliminate bioburden
